Sidwell House is a new and private upmarket self-catering guest house in George, on the Garden Route of South Africa. This charming, thatched house commands magnificent, unobstructed views of the Outeniqua Mountains and imparts a genuine holiday home atmosphere.

Located next door to the world-famous Fancourt Hotel and country club estate in the quiet suburb Heather Park, Sidwell House is ideal for business stays, family holidays or golfing holidays and for those who simply enjoy the odd game.

Sleeping eight, it is perfectly suited to four couples, two fourballs or one or two families. Children are welcome and small pets can be accommodated by prior arrangement.

Sidwell House is also only 2 minutes from a Virgin Active gym, 5 minutes from the hospital and 10 minutes from the airport, the town centre and Garden Route Mall. The beaches of Herolds Bay and Victoria Bay are also in very close proximity.

It is available for international house exchange as well as for movie shoots on a daily rental.

Rooms are equipped with heaters and there is a hair drier.

Normal Rates

2 to 4 guests - R600
5 to 8 guests - R800  

These rates include children up to the age of 2 years who stay free of charge.
A 50 % deposit is required to confirm booking.
A cleaning service is available at an additional cost of R80 per day.
