The town of Montagu enjoys almost perfect weather, far enough south to escape the heat of the Karoo, with long sun-filled days & balmy nights, while the winter evenings are cold enough for log fires.Montagu is also well-known for it's famous Hot Springs, the Montagu Tractor Trip to the summit of the Lange berg Mountains, a variety of hikes and walks, rock climbing, mountain biking 4x4 trips, wine tasting at our local cellars and various activities to keep you busy.

The Montagu 4 Seasons Self Catering luxury cottages are situated under a big old oak tree where the birds will wake you in the morning. Both units are fully equipped, and each can accommodate 4 people. The units have very well equipped kitchens, with all the modern appliances: kettle, microwave, oven, stove, fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, etc. On arrival guests are welcomed with fresh fruit, milk in the fridge, and fresh rusks, coffee, tea, sugar and even a bottle of muscadel and a bottle of ice cold white wine.
