High Gables is situated on the mountainside overlooking the Naval Harbour, the Yacht Basin and False Bay. We are within walking distance to the historical village of Simon's Town, which boasts many quaint buildings and museums and excellent restaurants. We are 2kms from the famous Boulders Penguin Colony and 20 minutes drive to the Cape Point Nature Reserve.

There are a number of beautiful swimming beaches in the immediate area. We are ±45 minutes drive from Capetown and ±1 hour from the Stellenbosch and Franchoek wine farms. Why not make High Gables your base to tour the peninsula and enjoy quiet tranquil evenings away from the noise of the city.

We have visiting whales from July to November each year and dolphins can be seen all year round. Boat trips to Cape Point and Seal Island and also for whale and shark watching and deep-sea fishing are available from the Simon's Town pier. Kayaks are also for hire from the pier.

Accommodation
Our B&B accommodation consists of a twin bed room and a double bed room. All rooms are en-suite and have magnificent sea and mountain views, each have separate entrances and guest veranda. There are tea and coffee making facilities and bar fridges in all the rooms. We have TV's in all rooms with SABC, e-TV and M-Net. All rooms have safes and heating for the winter nights. Barbecue facilities are available for the use of all guests.

All rooms are non-smoking but guests are welcome to smoke on the veranda.
