Welcome to Heerden Huijs Your hosts: Norval and Brian of Heerden Huijs extend you a warm and friendly welcome to the picturesque and historical town of Swellendam, at the foot of the Langerberg Mountains.
The place: We are AA ‘highly recommended’ in the Portfolio Collection and have a three star grading from the South African Tourist Grading Council. Relax by the warmth of a cozy log fire or enjoy a scrumptious breakfast at your leisure in either the breakfast room or on the patio by the pool.
Tastefully decorated rooms afford you comfortable accommodation.
All our rooms offer the following: Fan for hot summer days and nights, heaters and electric blankets for those colder times,
queen or twin beds, tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer and TV/MNet.
The Bataleur
Set in the main house, this room has twin beds with an en- suite shower and private entrance.
The Kestrel
Set in the main house, this room has a double bed with an en- suite bath and shower and also has a private entrance.
The Fish Eagle
Set in the garden cottage, this room has a double bed with an en- suite slipper bath.
The Osprey
Set in the garden cottage, this room has twin beds with en-suite shower.
The Fish Eagle and the Osprey are inter- leading and can be used as a family suite.
Pool:
Our sparkling salt water pool invites you to cool off in the evening after visiting our beautiful area.
Restaurants and Dining:
Many restaurants are within walking distance. Let us know your preference in cuisine and we will make your table reservation. By prior arrangement we also offer a braai (barbeque) in the traditional South African way.
