We would like to warmly welcome you to 10 van Riebeeck Street, a haven from the everyday world, a retreat for replenishment and respite. Located on a tranquil street in the picturesque village of Franschhoek, this self-catering villa is the ideal home base for your Cape Winelands holiday and is one of the finest vacation rentals available.

The property is a bright, spacious modern three-bedroom villa with separate sitting room, dining room, kitchen and entertainment area.  The property also boasts a pool, covered back stoep (veranda), landscaped garden and outdoor dining area. The interior is currently being luxuriously furnished to a high standard by a local interior decorator and will have a contemporary African finish. 10 van Riebeeck Street will be ready for short-term holiday letting from early December 2006.

Sitting Room
The front door opens straight into a stunning sitting room that is comfortably furnished with two beautiful suede sofas, coffee table, side tables, and beautifully dressed with atmospheric lamps and artwork.  A wood-burning stove will keep the atmosphere cosy during the winter.

Courtyard Area and Pool
Sliding doors lead from the sitting room to a paved private courtyard where you can soak up the African sun in the attractively planted patio area or cool off in the pool.

Kitchen
This exquisite kitchen, located just off the dining room, is extremely user friendly and the central island creates a social workstation while preparing meals.  The kitchen will be fully equipped with top of the range appliances.  We will also provide a complete array of cooking implements, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware.

A separate entertainment area with full satellite viewing flat screen 72cm (29”) TV, DVD player and music system is perfect for a lazy afternoon of lounging or an evening in watching a movie or your favourite DVD.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The three charming bedrooms, one en-suite, and two additional bathrooms are located at the back of the house.  The bedrooms are furnished in neutral tones with luxurious finishes.  All bedrooms have built in wardrobes with ample storage space.  We believe that sleep is of the utmost importance so all mattresses are top quality, all curtains and blinds have blackout lining and all sheets provided are high thread count 100% percale.  

Exterior
The deep covered back stoep is the perfect area for relaxing or enjoying al fresco drinks.  Extensive landscaping work has been carried out on the back garden to provide a child friendly and safe environment with an inspiring array of indigenous plants.  There is also an outdoor dining and braii (barbeque) area.

Other Information
Please note, in the interest of you and other guests we have a strict no smoking policy in the rooms and main house. 
We welcome children of all ages with cots and high chairs available on request.
All linens and towels provided.
Daily cleaning service and baby-sitting can be arranged on request.

RATES AND AVAILABILITY
10 van Riebeeck Street is available year-round at reasonable rates.  Please consult the rates and policies below, and then contact 10 van Riebeeck Street to check availability, request a booking or to ask for more information. 
Rates are per night for the villa based on a two-person occupancy.  R150 is charged per additional adult per night.  Rates are in South African Rand, are inclusive of tax.

A 3-night minimum stay generally applies, though 2-night stays may be possible by special arrangement.  Longer minimums may apply during peak periods.  Please enquire about special rates for stays of 7 nights or more.

PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS
A deposit of 50% of the total amount due is required to reserve your booking.  Payment can be made by bank transfer.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel your booking one month or more in advance of your scheduled arrival, your deposit will be fully refunded. If you cancel your booking less than one month but more than three days in advance of your scheduled arrival, a 50% cancellation fee will apply. If you cancel your booking three days or less in advance of your scheduled arrival, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
