Depending on the kind of holiday you are planning, the choice of location is very important. If you are dependant on transport, a stay within the City Bowl is probably the choice of location. With transport, anywhere within the Cape Peninsula is favourable as you are never about 45 minutes from the furthest tourist attrations. If you want an active nightlife vacation, stay closer to the city. Better options for families could be further south into the peninsula or other options are the Northern Region or the Helderberg Basin, both of which have plenty to offer, especially outdoor, but also nearer to the world famous wine routes of the Western Cape.
